What customers say?

“ Lovely spot featuring Monsoon’s Tucson-made chocolate and beverages. We tried the Frocho, Sonoran hot chocolate and the horchata, along with a ginger molasses cookie. Everything was delicious and artfully presented. The marker sells chocolate bars (the supply was low when we there and the truffles were sold out!) and a small selection of other artisan and local goods. ”

“ The perfect spot for a dark chocolate lover. The drinking chocolate is rich, flavorful, and bitter, almost like an espresso. Sonoran hot chocolate is not too spicy and so good!! Everything is balanced and delicious. ”

“ Cute Lil hang out spot that my friend and I really enjoy. Puff pasties are delish. Cool that they have gluten free options. It's quiet and always super clean. I really like their tea. ”

- Hilda Ochoa -

“ Beautiful spot, wonderful area... the service was good and the man was very polite. The flavor selection was amazing with flavors I've never imagined. ”

- Trisha Lenart -

“ We got given some of the truffles and bar chocolate for Christmas, and were very impressed — it’s bloody hard to stand out as exceptional in the world of boutique chocolate, and these folks don’t have to say a word l; the product speaks for itself. The truffles are characterized by creative flavour choices (with clear southwestern inspiration), exquisitely balanced flavours, and great technical execution. There are some standards - a sea salt Carmel, for example, but most are not, such as the coco nib horchata truffle. The bean-to-bar chocolate is similarly accomplished, and seems to vary, as it’s mostly single origin, and beans come and go. They have a cafe and a mix of other provisions. ”

“ If you love good chocolate and coffee, head over to this amazing place. They make their own chocolate - and, trust me, their mocha lattes are a sublime delight. Yum! I am hooked. Drove by it a few weeks, was intrigued - now I am addicted. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, some yummy treats and chocolate gifts, too. Love!!! ”

- Susan Bernardo -

“ Good experience all round, will definitely be coming back. Excellent chocolate can be found here at very reasonable prices for the quality. Bon bons are excellent; would highly recommend. A nice seating area can be found in the back. Plenty of prepackaged goods can be bought from more of their chocolate to sea salt produced in Oregon. Well worth a visit if you like chocolate. ”

“ I’ve lived in Tucson for a few years now, and every time I have visitors I try to bring them here. First off, the space is whimsical and inviting, with fluffy clouds hanging above and an earthy green-blue all around. The display case of truffles, pastries, and ice cream is like something out of a movie. The chocolate itself is complex and balanced. The packaging itself is art. I particularly enjoy the mesquite white chocolate, the hot chocolate, and any of their truffles. They also have a lovely market stocked with local goods and gifts. The last time I was in there, the person at the counter offered recommendations, asked about my favorite flavors, smiled, waited patiently while I took forever to make my selections, and offered samples! The closest thing to perfect customer service (and genuine kindness) you’ll find. I find myself having to comment on pricing too often in reviews, mostly in response to others’ low reviews based solely on pricing. To be blunt, costs are high because of failed international economic policy first and foremost. If you’re reading this and cost (as opposed to quality, flavor, experience, or anything else) is of utmost concern to you when deciding where to buy chocolate (or any food, for that matter), this might not be the place for you. If you’re willing and able to spend your money on local, quality goods that go the extra mile (and support our local economy) this spot won’t disappoint! ”
